AAUW LO in conjunction with Lake Oswego Reads 2017 will present a reader's theater production about "Breaking the Sound Barrier: Celebrating Unsung Heroes in Science." The public is warmly invited to this free, no tickets needed event on Feb. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakewood Theater downstairs. Portrayals of women will include Gertrude Bell Elion, who won the Nobel Prize for ground-breaking discoveries of medicines and treatments for herpes, cancer and urinary and respiratory tracts.
